Meet The Doctors

Dr. Delk joined his uncle in practice in July 2006, and purchased the practice from his uncle in December of 2014. A native of Smithfield, VA, Dr. Delk earned his BA from the University of Virginia in 2000, his DDS from VCU/MCV in 2005, and his AEGD certificate from Baylor College of Dentistry, Dallas, TX in 2006. Dr. Delk is a member of the tripartite organizations- American Dental Association, Virginia Dental Association, and Richmond Dental Society, and also a member of the Academy of General Dentistry. In July of 2016 Dr. Delk was awarded his Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry. He has served as a part time faculty member at VCU School of Dentistry in the Department of General Practice and is a member of numerous study clubs in the area. Dr. Delk is also very proud of his work at The Virginia Home, where he volunteers his dental services multiple times a year. He is a member of a local Spear Study Club with other Richmond area dentists, and has been chosen one of the Top Dentists in Virginia by Virginia Living Magazine multiple years in a row. Dr. Delk is also a certified Invisalign provider.

Dr. Herrero was born and raised in Miami, Florida. She received her Bachelor’s of Science in Biology from the University of Miami and her Master’s of Biomedical Science from Barry University. She was a fourth grade co-teacher for one year and then went on to study dentistry at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston. At Tufts, Krysten served as the Vice president of the Hispanic Dental Association and was a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. She also received the Honus Civicus award upon graduation for her dedication to community service.

Dr. Herrero is trained and proficient in a wide variety of dental treatments including whitening and bleaching, fillings, crowns, bridges, extractions, root canals, implant restorations, and many more. She is also fluent in Spanish. Dr. Herrero enjoys helping her patients achieve and maintain their oral health goals and believes that even the most anxious or apprehensive patient can learn to tolerate dental appointments and can even grow to like them.

Dr. Herrero is passionate about helping others and promoting proper oral hygiene. She has served as a volunteer on a medical mission trip which takes place every summer to Mindo, Ecuador since 2011 through an organization called Mindo Futures. She uses the skills she has gained from these trips and does her best to treat all of her patients with respect and compassion.

As a self-proclaimed “foodie,” Dr. Herrero enjoys trying new restaurants with her husband, Brandon Wong. She and her husband spend most of their free time with their son, Bennett, and daughter, Ellis.
